Glycidyl methacrylate ( GMA ) is an ester of methacrylic acid and glycidol, it is a common monomer used in the creation of epoxy resins.
While typical home epoxies contain diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A ( DGEBA ), glycidyl methacrylate is instead used to provide epoxy functionalization to polyolefins and other acrylate resins.
For adhesives and non - woven fabrics, it can improve the adhesion of metal, glass, cement, polyfluoroethylene and other adhesives. The non - woven fabric used for the synthesis of latex can improve its resistance to washing without affecting the sense of touch. When used in the processing of synthetic resin materials, it can improve the injection molding, extrusion molding, and obviously improve the adhesion of resin and metal.
Used for synthetic fiber, it can improve its shading force and color fastness, improve the anti - wrinkle and anti-shrinkage ability.
